Fiori by Lynne's Winter Wedding in Devon

As, I am sorry to say, I have not posted since last November, I have some explaining to do!  I took a break to get married myself so this is a post with a difference, these are all the little details from my own wedding. I am often asked what a wedding supplier would choose for themselves so here is where you can find out.

First, I should say this was an unconventional wedding- we ran away taking just very close family and a photographer friend with us to Devon - where we got together many years ago.

All things start with the dress, mine was Hadasse by San Patrick  and I loved it. This is the lace detail that skimmed the hips

After the husband and the dress, naturally it's the shoes !! Very, very close to a girl's heart. The feather stole behind kept me warm, being January I thought it might be wise.

Yes, I did my own flowers and here they are. A collection of some my very favourite things. The rose is Patience by David Austin and it has the most gorgeous perfume as did the Lily of the Valley and the double freesia. Bouvardia, ranunculus. fresh green skimmia and jasmine trails all help create the delicate, detailed look I wanted to compliment the detail on the dress.

A lace trimmed hankie - because I knew I was going to cry at some point. I kept this wrapped round my bouquet. Gorgeous drop earrings and the feather stole completed my look.

Small, delicate shower bouquet in whites, fresh greens and a touch of lemon, lovely for a new year wedding.

Me, the dress and the bouquet, all ready to go

The hair, courtesy of Bridal Hair by Helen near Taunton. A lovely, soft updo, slightly to one side, very flattering and I wanted to keep it forever !

The make up by me, I am looking pretty pleased with my efforts but they are all thanks to a make up lesson from the very lovely Annette Bradford of http://elegancebridalcoiffure.co.uk
This is an experience I would highly recommend, I learnt so much, had the chance to play and am now able to recreate this look whenever I want - and have the time !

Just touching up before we leave

My new wedding ring in the flowers. Made to fit my oval diamond engagement ring so they sit snugly together by Ring Jewellery in Brighton. Matt rose gold with a tiny band of diamonds.

Leaving the hall

The table flowers, a long and low design with church candles, absolutely lovely for a dark, January afternoon/evening.

And here we are, Mr and Mrs S, all nicely fed, watered and relaxed.

We stayed at the utterly gorgeous http://www.themilkshed-devon.com which comes complete with 2 very lovely hosts, one of which is a Michelin trained chef. They did our wedding breakfast which was perfect and they could not have done more to make our stay and our day so very special.

Last, a very huge thank you to the very lovely Sally from Sally J photography who did our beautiful photos - and here she is outside the Milk Shed.

So that's it, now back to work and looking forward to creating many more lovely wedding flowers for the brides of 2016. I hope you all have the most amazing day
