For their special day, Mark and Cathy wanted something a little different, very different in fact and unique to them. The groom loved colour, lots of it and as bright as possible please. The bride loved ferns and I mean she really loved ferns and a very natural, sort of country style look bordering on the "messy" Plans were made for each of the guest tables to be themed around a different colour using different flowers but a consistent country style look throughout - incorporating Cathy's favourite ferns. And so here they are Mark and Cathy's wedding flowers;
Country style corsage using lilac and purple lisianthus - and ferns.
Freesia and Sword fern corsage for Mark's mum.
Mini sunflower bouquet using purple clematis and lisianthus with fern, lime alchemilla mollis and a touch of solidago for the bridesmaid.
Yellow and purple country style bouquet of sunflowers, clematis, lisianthus and fern with alchemilla mollis.
Cathy's bouquet, a lightweight and very natural looking mix of flowers using lilac roses, purple clematis, lisianthus, blue delphinium, pink freesia with sword fern, alchemilla mollis and trails of evergreen jasmine.
The bouquet and the ring.
The bouquet and the dog !
Bouquet in action, not to neat and note the fern!
Buttonhole of purple lisianthus and fern for the men
Candelabra flowers in pinks and lime greens in the natural country style. I used the more rustic black metal candelabra and used trails of ivy and lisianthus flowers to bring colour and flowers down to the table. The venue is New Place, Shirrell Heath
Candelabra flowers in lilac and pale green with a touch of lime.
Candelabra flowers at night.
Lilac table flowers using Ocean Song roses, lilac and pale green lisianthus with ferns and ivy trails.
The blue table using delphinium and agapanthus with a dash of yellow and lime. The electric blue of this particular delphinium is completely stunning and enabled me to keep the blue table nice and bright as well. If you are not careful how you use them, blues can disappear in a scheme - no danger of that here.
Country style candelabra using sunflowers with purple clematis. These mini sunflowers work wonderfully well with this rustic style candelabra.
Purple and pink candelabra flowers with a dash of lime and cerise to lighten and brighten. The purple is provided by the lisianthus and the allium - another one of the bride's favourite things. Note the fern too !
I absolutely love this night time shot of the candelabra from the very talented Chess Photography, if you have ever tried photographing red and orange flowers in the dark you will appreciate it all the more !

The green table, the stunning lime chrysanthemum is the star of the show here mixed with purple lisianthus and yellow solidago.
