Gemma and Mike's Vintage Garden Themed Wedding, Rhinefield House

A lovely vintage/garden themed wedding with a gorgeous mix of flowers and colours. Gemma was keen for the flowers to have a very natural look to fit in with the garden theme. Just beautiful for a late June wedding .

Gemma's vintage toned bouquet of Memory Lane roses, pink peonies, pale green roses, gypsophila and astilbe in  mauves, pinks and fresh green. Beautiful for a late June wedding and I love how the pale green adds a touch of summer freshness to these vintage colours

Vintage toned summer bouquet in mauves, pinks and greens using roses, peonies, astilbe and gypsophila for the bridesmaids - a smaller version of the bridal bouquet. Lovely, fresh and very natural.

For the flower girl, a gold heart shaped wand decorated with a co-ordinating design of Memory Lane rose, lisianthus and gypsophila.

Ali's Very Natural, Ivory, Purple and Teal Wedding Flowers with a touch of Wild

Ali described herself as "a bit of a hippy at heart", a tall willowy bride in a long flowing Jenny Packham Dress -  this called for something a bit different. I love something a bit different ! The colours are purple, teal, silver and ivory  and the style, very natural with a hint of wild. Nothing to formal or to structured.

Trailing and very natural, tied bouquet in purples, ivory, silver and deep green using roses, lisianthus, passion flower and astilbe with silver eucalyptus and loops and trails of ivy.

Purple, ivory, silver and deep green country style bouquet using Dolomiti roses, purple lisianthus, astilbe, eucalyptus and passion flower with loops of ivy. For Ali's bridesmaid.

Natural, tied bouquet  of ivory roses, purple lisianthus, astilbe, eucalyptus, passion flower and loops of ivy. Just a touch of wild about this design.

Buttonhole of Dolomiti rose and deep green ivy leaf for the men.

And for the ladies, a corsage of ivory rose, spray rose, astilbe and ivy leaf.

Lastly, a close up of Ali's bouquet, a gorgeous mix of  ivory roses, purple lisianthus and astilbe with long trails of eucalyptus, ivy and passion flower.

I had a lovely note from Ali after our initial meeting thanking me for " achieving the impossible - making me excited about my flowers" And an equally gorgeous text after the wedding because she absolutely loved her flowers and her bouquet. That meant so much - to know that you can inspire people to love flowers even when they thought that was not possible.Like men, there is a bouquet for everyone, even those who had given up !

On that, I will just say thank you so much Ali for asking me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I really did love working on these gorgeous and very natural designs for you and I am so glad they were loved so much.

For their wedding at the Tithe Barn in Petersfield Kate and Doug chose a lovely fresh colour scheme of palest green and white and a very soft and pretty look with a contemporary edge. I loved it !

Kate's bouquet of ivory and pale green roses, lisianthus and freesia with a surround of palm leaf and grass. A classic bouquet given a contemporary twist by the surround. Little diamante pins in some of the roses added some sparkle.

Bridesmaids' modern bouquet in pale greens and white using roses, freesias and lisianthus with palm leaf edging. A smaller version of the bridal bouquet but without the sparkle. Against their midnight blue dresses they looked stunning.

Modern posy for the flower girl using ivory and green roses, freesias and lisianthus with palm leaf. A smaller version again.

Silver star wand with lisianthus and grasses, always a hit with little flower girls.

Modern buttonhole of ivory rose with loops and spires of grass and a band of ivory ribbon for the groom.

For mum, a pretty wrist corsage in pink and white flowers on a hand made silver wire bangle.

Tall, contemporary table centres, the Tithe Barn in Petersfield. All flowers in place ready for the wedding breakfast.

Modern low table centre of green and white flowers and grasses in mixed vases. The central larger vase is surrounded by little votives of freesias and lisianthus, tea lights and scattered rose petals. We mixed these low designs with the taller designs in cocktail vases to give colour and flower at every level.

The Tithe Barn, Petersfield, all flowers in place for the wedding reception. All we need now is the bride and groom !

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Kate and Doug for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. It was an absolute pleasure and I am so glad you were so pleased with the flowers.

June Showcase, New Place, Shirrell Heath

The June showcase at New Place was a perfect opportunity to show off some seasonal favourites. Peonies and sweet peas have a short season but are absolutely perfect for a June wedding. I love them ! We chose a bright and summery scheme of corals, reds and lime for a wedding breakfast in the Arden Suite and ever popular vintage pinks in the Bristol room. The dining room looked gorgeous decked out with lanterns and candles.

Coral peonies, coral roses, red sweet peas and green hydrangea with ivy trails make a fabulous tall table centre for a June wedding. Bright and summery and the colours blended beautifully with the deep red chairs at New Place.

Something different for the top table, martini and shot glasses filled with bright flowers on a line of mirror plates help create the summer party theme.

Coral sunset peonies and Miss Piggy roses fill small martini and shot glasses for the top table.

If you haven't been to one of these events before and are looking for a venue for your wedding you can't beat attending a showcase at New Place. All the rooms are set out and decorated as they might be for a wedding giving you the rare opportunity to see the hotel as it might be for your day, there is a glass of bubbly and a few nibbles to try from the kitchen. A few recommended suppliers are on hand too to answer any questions and to help provide inspiration for your day. A very, very different experience from a wedding fayre, the atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried. There are only 2-3 events a year so if you would like to come to the next one please do register your interest with the hotel on  01329 836511.

Ruth's Wedding Flowers, Lains Barn, Wantage

A lovely, natural scheme this featuring the always popular rose and thistle combination but given a country style look that was just perfect for the barn setting of Ruth's wedding. The groom was keen on gyp but the bride not on the smell - it's not actually that nice !  I've used lots of scented foliages and lavender with the roses and thistles to ensure these designs smelt as lovely as they looked.

Paula's Contemporary White Wedding Flowers

For her wedding Paula had set her heart on hydrangeas, a lovely, soft, romantic mass of them given a contemporary touch by the addition of looped grass.

Paula's bouquet of white hydrangeas, calla lilies and roses with looped grass and sprays of diamante for a touch of sparkle. Gorgeously soft and romantic but quite contemporary too.
