Amy's Christmas Wedding Flowers, New Place

Amy's Christmas wedding with a vintage glamour twist. The colour scheme was champagne and ivory with a touch of silver and gold and Amy wanted the designs to have a winter feel  to them. I love a Christmas wedding & it was a real pleasure to work on this one - in the warm sunshine !!

Vintage glamour bouquet of champagne roses with strings of pearls and crystals wound through it for Amy

Wedding bouquet of Vendela roses with pearl and crystal strings wound through, just gorgeous and very Amy.

Christmas wedding at New Place, table flowers - candelabra with scattered roses and petals

The Arden Suite at New Place set up for a Christmas wedding. I love the table  cards with the gold snowflakes and the tiny gold crackers at each place setting.

For the top table we used the same design used for the ceremony table earlier with the tall dinner candles co-ordinating with the tall candles in the candelabra.

Top table flowers, Vendela and Akito roses with silver skeleton leaves and candles. Perfect for a winter wedding.

The place setting for our Christmas bride.

Last but not least, Amy's gorgeous vintage glamour wedding cake decorated with fresh roses and petals.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Amy for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you, I loved the vintage glamour twist to your Christmas wedding and it was an absolute pleasure  to work on it with you. Very many congratulations on your wedding.

Jemma's Christmas Wedding Flowers, Solent Spa

For her mid December wedding Jemma was looking for a strong Christmas theme to her flowers, lots of red roses, seasonal foliages, berries and candle light . Just gorgeous. And so here they are, Jemma's wedding flowers, I hope you like them.

Winter wedding bouquet with Christmas theme, red roses, mixed berries, pine, holly and ivy.

Winter buttonhole of burgundy rose, pine, holly and skimmia for the groom.

Winter wrist corsage and buttonholes. Jemma had her bridesmaid holding the hands of the 2 page boys whilst walking down the aisle a la Pippa Middleton. So a wrist corsage fitted perfectly, I used Viburnum tinus berries to compliment the midnight colour of the dress. For the page boys I made a buttonhole of tiny spray roses and pine, small, lightweight and more robust than they look !

Winter wrist corsage in silver, midnight and white. I used lisianthus, pine and viburnum tinus berry on a hand made silver bangle.

Winter buttonhole of Rose, pine and mini pine cones for the men

For the top table, Jemma chose to have a little bud vase of wedding themed designs for each place setting with scattered petals and tea lights in between. A lovely, modern alternative to the more traditional spray.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Jemma and Michael for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I really loved putting this strong seasonal look together for you. I hope you had a fabulous day and many congratulations on your marriage.

A big thank you too to Sally for the gorgeous photos.

Janice's Winter Wedding Flowers, New Place, Shirrell Heath

I love winter weddings, even more so when I am asked to reflect the season in the designs. So I was particularly happy when Janice asked me to create her winter wedding flowers for her wedding at the end of November. Janice had chosen a wonderful purple shot with black dress for her bridesmaid and was wearing an amazing black dress with an ivory bodice herself. Clearly, I had to make the flowers equally stunning ! So here they are - Janice's winter wedding flowers.

Vintage bouquet of Memory Lane and Avalanche roses with freesias and mixed foliages. Janice had fallen in love with the beautiful Memory Lane rose and wanted a soft vintage type look to match the detail of her dress.

Buttonhole of Ivory rose with eucalyptus and viburnum tinus berries for the men.

Winter bouquet of Memory Lane and Avalanche roses with freesias, berries and mixed foliages for the bridesmaid. The Memory Lane rose works wonderfully well with purple toned dresses and the berries are perfect for depicting the black. The overall look is vintage and quite striking. I loved it !

Winter vintage bouquet, mauve-ivory and black. Roses, berries and freesias.

Classic look corsage of rose with soft vintage type foliages and agapanthus flowers

Pedestal designs at the Bristol room in New Place where the wedding was held.

Trailing top table design in ivories, mauves and purples given a strong winter look by using seasonal foliages and berries.

Top table design in ivories, purples and mauves with candles. I used the Memory Lane and Avalanche roses combined with purple lisianthus and freesias, seasonal berries and foliages.

Wreath of winter foliages and berries with ivory and purple flowers around a central candle for the tables at New Place. A great design for winter weddings.

Low table centre with tall candles in reds with a strong Christmas look.

The night before the wedding Janice held a birthday party and I was asked to create low table designs with tall candles with a strong Christmas look in rich reds. I loved this, sort of a floral birthday cake with mixed red roses, mini pine cones and seasonal foliages !

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Janice and Andy for asking me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I loved working your beautiful and unusual colours into strong wintery designs. And very many congratulations on your marriage, I hope you had a wonderful day.

Pamela's Winter White Wedding Flowers, Tithe Barn

For her winter wedding at the Tithe Barn, Pamela was looking for a pure, simple and modern look to her flowers using all white as a colour theme. And here they are, Pamela's wedding flowers.

Buttonholes of lisianthus, thistle ( eryngium) and rosemary for the men to reflect the scottish element.

Winter white bouquet of double tulips, freesias and lisianthus. With all the freesias it smelt gorgeous too. Pamela was keen to avoid roses and wanted to keep the bouquet all white, so we used the double tulip and removed all the buds from the freesias to get the look.

All white wedding bouquet of tulips, freesias and lisianthus. It's a soft and romantic look. Whilst tulips are essentially a Spring flower, in fact  like many other Spring flowers they are available as a cut flower from about November through to the Spring, good news for winter brides.

A lovely idea for winter weddings and a gorgeous welcome for guests. Two wood burning stoves were set up at the entrance to the Tithe barn, being tended by the groom as I arrived. Also inside was Mac on the bagpipes playing the most beautiful, almost haunting music ever. I loved it.

Contemporary ceremony table flowers, vases of white tulips, freesias and lisianthus in mixed sizes.

Wedding ceremony table flowers at the Tithe Barn. Pamela was keen to keep the look simple and contemporary and these designs looked fantastic against the stone walls of the barn.

All white, modern ceremony table flowers, Tithe Barn

For the table centres, the look was kept consistent, a vase of tulips, a vase of freesias and a vase of lisianthus mixed with lots of candles.

Wedding flowers at the Tithe Barn, Petersfield. Simple, contemporary and perfumed. I am told the 250 freesias used in this scheme managed to scent the entire barn.

I loved working on this wedding and hope the post has given winter brides some more possible ideas for their day.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Pamela for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I loved working on this modern, elegant, simple but romantic look - and setting up to Mac's music was an absolute pleasure.Very many congratulations on your marriage
