Laura's Contemporary Wedding Flowers, Farbridge Chichester

Laura and Grant chose to marry at Farbridge in Chichester, a lovely contemporary barn and to compliment the venue they were looking for clean, fresh and contemporary flowers in their chosen colours, purple, lilac, ivory and green.

Buttonhole of purple and ivory calla lily and camellia leaf for the men. This calla lily is proving extremely popular this year with it's gorgeous purple throat being a perfect shade to compliment alot of the purple-mauve shaded bridesmaids' dresses I am seeing.

Contemporary designs of alliums, roses and lisianthus were placed on pillars located either side of the entrance doors to the ceremony barn.

Esther's English Garden Wedding Flowers, Chewton Glen

Esther and John came from New York to celebrate their wedding at the lovely Chewton Glen hotel. It's June and the perfect time for peonies, Esther's favourite flowers. Plans were made for a lovely english country garden theme, an outside ceremony and lots of gorgeous sweet smelling english flowers in natural mixed designs. Esther and I settled the scheme via email given the distance given the distance between New York and Southampton but I am also contactable by Skype, just ask me for the details.

Esther's bouquet of roses, peonies, sweet peas and lavender in reds, pinks, creams and purples. I used English Garden roses to give the real english summer garden look and the most amazing perfume, the mix of these roses with peonies, lavender and sweet peas was divine. The bouquet was a stunning mix of all Esther's favourite flowers in her favoured colours. Sadly, I wasn't able to help with the weather but if you closed your eyes ....

Esther's bouquet of english country garden flowers, this stunning shot is by Guy Collier.
To see more of Guy's work check out his web site , this link takes you to the blog entry for Esther's wedding. His photography is amazing so be warned - it's compulsive viewing.

Garden style petal basket for the little flower girl.

Circlet of spray roses, lisianthus, ivy leaves and myrtle for the flower girl's hair.

Wedding flowers at the Chewton Glen Hotel. I created little groups of mixed vases of flowers for each table to keep the natural look. Each table and each design was a little different  but all kept to the theme so the look was natural but still co-ordinated.

Grouped design of roses and peonies in pinks, reds and creams.

The scent from the garden roses and the other flowers filled the room, I was sorry to leave !

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Esther for choosing me to design and create the flowers for your special day. I really loved putting the look together for you and I hope the flowers helped bring a touch of english summer to your day for you.

Rebecca's Renewal of Vows and Wooden Anniversary Flowers, Jolly Sailor, Hamble

Yes, I do flowers for parties and events other than weddings and here is a lovely little one you might like to see.
Rebecca called me last week to see if I could help with some flowers for her Renewal of Vows ceremony and reception at the Jolly Sailor in Hamble. It was their wooden wedding anniversary too so could I incorporate an element to reflect that, also she would like to give the flowers to guests afterwards so could I do a design that would allow that.  Time was short- very short in fact - so I was thrilled to find these little wooden containers which also suited the natural, country look flowers Rebecca likes too.

Rustic table flowers of double purple lisianthus, lilac freesias, spirea and rosemary.
Now for anyone that doesn't know it, the Jolly Sailor is a lovely little pub sitting on the banks of the River Hamble perfectly suited to a natural and nautical theme. The little wooden chests were perfect for it.

Purple table flowers in a natural, country style that also suited the nautical setting of the pub.

The tables were arranged in a long length so the designs are dotted along the length.

The ceremony table set out with the flowers and a couple of gorgeous shells. It looked really  lovely which is more than can be said for my photo but hopefully it's enough for you to get the idea.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Rebecca for asking me to create the flowers for your  special day, I really enjoyed putting this look together for you. I hope you had a really fabulous day.

Becky's Country Style Wedding Flowers in Purples and Lilacs

Becky called me a little earlier in the year when her original florist let her down to see if I could help with her June wedding. She was looking for a lovely, natural, country look  using a real mix of flowers and foliages in the ever popular purple - lilac colours. Such a lovely lady and such a gorgeous scheme how could I refuse and so here they are - Becky's wedding flowers.

Groom's buttonhole of lilac rose, lavender and rosemary with a tiny touch of pink gypsophila in a natural, tied style.

Becky's wedding bouquet of lilac rose, purple stocks, purple lisianthus, lilac freesia, lavender, eucalyptus and a touch of pink gypsophila. A gorgeous mix of scented flowers and foliages, perfect for the relaxed, country look, again - I was sorry to see it go.

Co-ordinating bouquet for Becky's bridesmaid in mixed purples and lilacs

These lovely little posies were for the flower girls.

A slightly larger but still perfectly co-ordinating posy for the slightly older girl.

Mum's corsage co-ordinates in style but in soft pinks and whites

Bird cage table centre with country style flowers in purples and lilacs for the marquee reception. Becky scattered the table with the petals and the cages were used in a mixed scheme with other tables being decorated with pots of lavender.

Bird cage table centre design in purples and lilacs. To create it we used lilac roses, purple lisianthus with pink gypsophila and mixed foliages including rosemary for that lovely country style look. Flowers and foliages overspill the cage just as they should for this style.

I hope you like them.

That just leaves me to say, thank you so much your call Becky, I really loved making up these designs for you - and very many congratulations on your marriage.

Lisa's Vintage Wedding Flowers, Winslowe House, Southampton

It's June, the perfect time for peonies so I thought early - mid summer brides might like to see this gorgeous little wedding which took place at the lovely Winslowe House in West End,Southampton. Lots of beautiful little touches and moments all caught brilliantly by Lisa's photographer - Big Bouquet

Bouquet of white peonies, pink roses, pink astilbe for our bride. The bonus was the gorgeous scent, another one I was sorry to part with !

The vintage style peony, rose and astilbe bouquet worked brilliantly with Lisa's flowing almost grecian style dress.

Lisa's something blue, gorgeous idea, gorgeous photo - Thank you Emma of Big Bouquet

Lisa's bridesmaids arriving at Winslowe House carrying bouquets of pink peonies, white stocks and astilbe. Beautiful with their gorgeous silver dresses.

Ceremony room at Winslowe House - all ready and waiting for our bride.

Tall table centres in soft pinks and whites following the vintage theme. I used a real mix of peonies, roses, stocks, astilbe and lisianthus to create the look.

As the table centres are above head height ( so guests can still see and talk to each other with ease) I dressed the tables with these little silver pots of mixed flowers.

Flowers and lucky dip favours, I loved the idea and the series of images taken of them by Big Bouquet and here is one of them.

And that just leaves me to say, thank you so much Lisa for choosing me to design and create your flowers for you, I really loved creating this soft and romantic look for you. And very many congratulations on your marriage.

And a huge thank you too to Emma of Big Bouquet for sharing these gorgeous images. If you would like to see more of their work then have a look at their web site www.bigbouquet.co.uk
