Lizzy's Classic Wedding Flowers, Hospital of St Cross,Winchester

A classic but very pretty look for Lizzy in barely there colours, ivory, pale green and the palest of pinks. The venue was the Hospital of St Cross, a first for there for me. I have to say the grounds were stunning, shame about the weather ! It was wet - very wet in fact but the flowers gave a gorgeous hint of summer.

Classic bouquet of mixed roses, freesias, pale green lisianthus and bouvardia with a tiny touch of gyp and myrtle for Lizzy. I've used Dolomiti mixed with Green Fashion and a stunning spray rose called Bombastic to get the look.

Tall, classic table centre of mixed pastel roses in ivory, pink and green with freesia, lisianthus and gypsophila. These suited the marquee perfectly and create real impact as you walk in. Underneath are long burn tea lights in hired votive holders to create a magical atmosphere as the light goes down.

A mix of tall and low table centres works well as it creates flower and colour at every level for this wedding at the Hospital of St Cross.

Mandy's Country Style Wedding Flowers, Langrish House

For her wedding at Langrish House Mandy chose a gorgeous bright, country style scheme in bright blues, purples, pinks and lime featuring english summer flowers and fern from her native New Zealand. And so here they are - Mandy's wedding flowers

Tall country style table centre of bright blue delphiniums, pink roses and freesias with purple clematis and a dash of lime alchemilla mollis. These delphiniums are just stunning and the stem inside the trumpet vase makes a gorgeous finishing touch.

Mixed vase designs were used on the ceremony table, the top table and also on a couple of the guest tables. They allow a gorgeous spread of flower and colour over a larger area than would be the case if all the flowers were in the one container. Here we have one of my favourites, scabious and clematis with alchemilla.

Carly's Summer Wedding Flowers, Montague Arms, Beaulieu

It's the first week in July - or at least it was when I did these wedding flowers - and it is the last of the peonies until next year. Such beautiful flowers but such a short season and luckily for Carly her wedding was just in time to catch them.

Ivory roses, pink peonies, lavender, stocks, a touch of gypsophila and a little mixed foliage make a gorgeous wedding bouquet for Carly. A real breath of summer and beautifully scented too. I loved it !

The long tables were decorated with mixed wedding themed vase designs of summer flowers with tea lights in between. You can see the rose place settings and the pots of jam acting as favours. The overall effect is beautiful.

Wedding flowers at the Montague Arms, Beaulieu - Summer fireplace design of roses, peonies, stocks and lavender.

Peonies and log fires, not something you see together very often ! It might have been mid summer but clearly no-one told the weather. It could have been worse but it wasn't good - at all so the fires were lit to add some warmth and help dry us all out !

Amanda's Vintage/Shabby Chic Wedding Flowers, Burley Manor

Amanda's wedding was full of lovely ideas for a theme based on the Shabby Chic and/or Vintage tea party look. Beautiful flowers in the dusky pink, fresh green and cream colour mix. Flowers in tea cups, cake stands, lanterns, vintage glass, enamel jugs and all manor of other pretty little containers. Bunting, lace table runners and strands of pearls, it is all here. I will write more later but in the meantime here is a sneak preview of the flowers I created for Amanda.

Shabby Chic / Vintage bouquet in dusky pinks, creams and greens using roses, freesias, lisianthus and mixed foliage with astilbe.

Buttonholes and corsages boxed and ready to go. Rose, myrtle and asparagus fern with a touch of spray rose for the groom. A co-ordinating but more detailed design for the ladies and a simpler version without the spray rose for the men.

Mixed vase designs in pinks and creams decorate the ceremony table at the Burley Manor. 

Standard bay trees with pink roses were placed either side of the ceremony table.

Tied chair back / pew end in the shabby chic style finished with a tie of lace. Roses, lisianthus and astilbe in pinks and greens make a gorgeous chair back and here we used them on the chairs that lined the aisle in an alternating pattern.

Wedding flowers at Burley Manor, the ceremony room all ready for Amanda's wedding. Tied floral chair backs line the aisle and the bay trees decorated with roses make the ceremony table with it's pretty mixed vase designs a real focal point. All together a gorgeous backdrop for the wedding ceremony.

Reception Flowers

Amanda had a gorgeous selection of vintage, shabby chic and rustic bits and pieces and the plan was to use them all across the 2 rooms used for the vintage tea party themed reception. The dining room was to be the more formal of the 2 with more muted colours while  the conservatory was to have a more rustic feel with brighter colours.

Soft cream spray roses and palest pink astilbe look gorgeous in this tea cup.

Cream bird cage and lanterns filled with cream, pink and green flowers. Peonies, hydrangeas, roses and lisianthus tumble out of the containers onto the tablecloth.

The lantern table, roses, peonies, hydrangeas and lisianthus fill the lanterns and spill down onto the table runner for a soft, relaxed and romantic look.

Amanda's metal container, once used for growing lettuce now used to decorate this table filled with green hydrangea ( I was remembering the lettuce !) pink roses and lisianthus.

All containers ( save the bird cage) were Amanda's own, there is a huge variety here so plenty of inspiration for brides looking for ideas for flowers on the vintage tea party and / or shabby chic lines. Keeping the flowers consistent was the key to having the look work as a whole while giving each table it's own individual look.
