With all things vintage still being so very popular, I thought you might like be interested in hearing about a new company I happened across that specialises in hiring out all manor of beautiful vintage style things for weddings, parties and events. The Vintage Hire Tea Co is based in Basingstoke but can offer a nationwide service. It is run by Reeta and below are a few of the lovely things Reeta has available to hire.

Vintage style bird cage decorated with fresh flowers and ivy trails, absolutely gorgeous for weddings. This is how I met Reeta, she asked me if I would decorate some bird cages for a wedding fayre she was doing. So here we have Reetas beautiful bird cages and my flowers. A gorgeous new vintage style rose called Wham and masses of Purple rain freesias- a stunning double variety. Not purple but very beautiful all the same.

The second bird cage was rectangular and it's decorated with a candle inside surrounded by roses, lisianthus and foliage. Here it is on Reeta's stand with some more of her lovely things, jugs, tea cups, saucers, tea pots, glasses, pearl strands and cake stands - all available to hire.

Reeta's stand, love the bunting - also available to hire. See her web site below for more info.

Anne's Classic White and Green Wedding Flowers

Classic green and white was the colour scheme for Anne's March wedding at the lovely Rivervale Barn in Yateley with a beautiful mix of orchids and roses as the basis for the flowers.

Teardrop bouquet of white orchids with diamante sprays and deep green foliages. I have used both the moth and the singapore orchid here wiring the flowers in to make a beautifully elegant bouquet for Anne

Classic green and white shower bouquet of white orchids and deep green foliage - a close up

Contemporary buttonhole of white orchid with leaf and grasses for the groom.

Modern bouquet of ivory roses with white singapore orchids and looped grass for the bridesmaid.

Flower girl posy of large ivory rose, orchid, diamante and deep green foliage. Finished with an ivory ribbon bow and trails, perfect for little girls.

Modern buttonhole of rose, loop of grass and double leaf for the remaining men.

Ceremony flowers of white orchids, roses and deep green foliages with central church candles. The design contained loops and trails of grass threaded with pearl and crystal too. So lovely, it was later moved to the top table for the wedding breakfast.

Table centre of rose and orchid in a wreath with deep green foliages around a central church candle, these table centres also had loops of grass threaded with pearl and crystal and table diamonds were scattered around the outside to finish.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Anne for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you, I loved creating this stunning scheme for you. And very many congratulations on your marriage.

New Place Wedding Fayre

A big thank you to all those who came to see me yesterday at New Place's Wedding Fayre. For those that couldn't make it or for anyone who would like a quick reminder of the ideas I had on display - here they are. I have plenty more though - ideas that is - so if you would like some help in designing the perfect flowers for your wedding day, please do get in touch. I'd love to see you

Bouquet of coral roses. Coral is one of this years hot new colours and the rose in the middle - Miss Piggy - is one to watch. A blend of the colour works beautifully and is much better than trying to exactly match the colour of dresses - if you succeed all those beautiful roses tend to get lost. For those that like contrast the colour would look amazing with midnight, chocolate, black as well as anything in the ivory-cream- stone -apricot range.

Table centre of mixed coral roses in cube vase finished in ivory ribbon for a touch of vintage glamour. The ribbon can of course be changed to any colour you choose.

Candelabra with gypsophila. Gypsophila is very popular at the moment so here is a different way of using it - gorgeous for winter weddings too ( think snow !)

Gypsophila Candelabra

Bouquet of gypsophila, very soft, very pretty and weighs nothing !

Table centres in purple-lilac and green and a natural woodland style using lilac roses, purple clematis and pale green lisianthus. This more natural style is another trend for 2012. Here I have a tall trumpet vase design with a stem of clematis inside the vase for a slightly different touch and a low table centre of a winter wreath around a church  candle.

Co-ordinating bouquet of lilac rose, purple clematis, pale green lisianthus and lilac veronica. Again the look is very natural.

Table centre of mini narcissus ( daffodils )

Very simple, very pretty and full of perfume. I used a taller central vase and surrounded it with matching mini designs and tea lights. Just gorgeous for a spring wedding but the idea is very easily adapted for other flowers and seasons.

Bouquet of mini narcissus.

That's all for now. I do hope you enjoyed the post. If you would like to get in touch re planning your own wedding flowers, please do call me on 01489 582539 or email me at lynne@fioribylynne.co.uk. and we can arrange to have a chat. I'd love to hear from you.

Nicola's Blue and White Spring Flowers

Thought you might like a sneak preview of Nicola's wedding flowers, a vey pretty spring scheme in blue and white using the sweetly scented blue muscari. So lovely, I had to share them. Venue flowers follow.

Spring bouquet in blue and white using roses, lisianthus and blue muscari with an edging of eucalyptus.

Blue and white wrist corsages for the bridesmaids on a hand made silver wire mesh bangle. I used white lisianthus with blue muscari and a touch of eucalyptus  to create them. They also wore a very pretty ( and lightweight) group of lisianthus in their hair. The flowers are mounted on a wire and simply gripped into the hair. Gorgeous.

Blue and white spring wrist corsage on hand made silver bangle

Buttonhole of rose and eucalyptus for the men.

Niocla's bouquet, white roses and lisianthus with blue muscari and a touch of eucalyptus.

Church pedestal in blue and white using using large roses, white lisianthus and blue agapanthus with mixed eucalyptus.

Wedding flowers at New Place in blue and white, a gorgeous spring wreath of roses, lisianthus and muscari with eucalyptus and a central church candle. All tables were named after an Australian beach as that is where the bride and groom now live.

Place setting in blue and white flowers using roses and muscari.

For the top table we used a vase for Nicola's bouquet and surrounded it with fresh petals and tea lights. Each place setting was decorated with these pretty tied designs.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Nicola for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I hope you had a fabulous day and very many congratulations on your marriage.

Ta's Burgundy and White Wedding Flowers- Elmers Court Hotel

For her wedding at Elmers Court, Ta had chosen a bold colour scheme of burgundy and white and a very soft, pretty look using roses, freesias and lisianthus.

Bouquet of Black Baccara roses with white freesias, lisianthus and trails of jasmine for our bride. The freesias and jasmine smelt gorgeous

Deep burgundy sprays roses mounted onto a wire for pinning into our bride's hair.

Buttonhole of deep burgundy rose and jasmine for the groom. The rose is Black Baccara, very dark, very velvety and very beautiful.

For the flower girl, I made this tiny wrist corsage using a hand made (by me), made to measure, silver wire mesh bangle decorated with tiny spray rose flowers and buds with ivy leaves. Perfect for tiny wrists.

For the slightly older flower girl, a silver wire petal basket which also included spray roses and lisianthus.

Posy of Black Baccara roses, deep burgundy spray roses, white freesias and lisianthus. The contrast is bold and dramatic and the flowers very soft and beautiful.

The ceremony table at Elmers Court decorated with vases of burgundy roses with freesias and lisianthus. The vase is lined with aspidistra leaf and finished with a burgundy ribbon for a modern touch. These flowers were used later for the table centres.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Ta for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I hope you had a fantastic day and very many congratulations on your marriage.
