Helen's Wedding Flowers, Roses and Thistles, Rhinefield House

My last wedding before Christmas and I thought you might like a sneaky peak before I post more in the New Year. Helen's lovely scheme was inspired by the fresh green and blue tartan waistcoats the men were wearing. Roses and thistles were the principal flowers but given a really soft look with a wintery feel.

Rose and thistle bouquet in blue and green with skimmia, paperwhites for scent, mixed eucalyptus and a touch of tree fern to soften the look again. Perfect for a winter's wedding.

Helen's rose and thistle winter wedding bouquet finished with tartan ribbon to match to men's waistcoats.

Rose, thistle and rosemary make a gorgeous buttonhole for the men.
All for now, I will post more photos from this lovely wedding soon.

Ivory roses, pale green skimmia and mini scented narcissus ( paperwhites) make a gorgeous wintery bouquet for the bridesmaids.

Rhinefield House wedding - flowers for the top table. A gorgeous long and low trailing design of roses, thistles, pale green skimmia and paperwhites with candles in lanterns in between each section. Perfect for the English-Scottish theme.

Roses and thistles in a wreath around a candle make a gorgeous table centre for a winter wedding, here they are combined with pale green skimmia, lisianthus and scented paperwhites.

Low tablecentre for a winter wedding using roses and thistles around a candle. The pale green skimmia, the paperwhites and the mix of foliage help lighten, brighten and soften the design.

Wedding flowers at Rhinefield House, english roses and scottish thistles for a winter wedding. Low tablecentre with trailing top table behind incorporating lots of candles.

Trailing top table design of roses, thistles and candles, gorgeous for this December wedding at Rhinefield.

The alcoves at the back of The Great Hall at Rhinefield were decorated with these pretty lanterns and candles. Two more were placed at the Hotel Entrance.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Helen for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I absolutely loved working on this soft and pretty take on the rose and thistle scottish theme. I hope you had a fabulous day and that all those floods did not cause too many problems.

Jen's December Wedding Flowers, Rhinefield House

An early December wedding at Rhinefield House, a soft but seasonal look for the flowers and bridesmaids in plum . Here are Jen and Matt's wedding flowers.

Winter themed bouquet in vintage colours using Memory Lane, Amnesia and Metalina roses with green skimmia, mini pine cones, blue pine and paperwhites for our bride. Gorgeous for this December wedding with it's Christmassy theme.

Winter buttonhole of Metalina rose, mini pine cones and blue pine. Perfect for the
 Christmas look.

December bridesmaids' bouquets in antique shades using Amnesia and Metalina roses with green skimmia, paperwhites and pine. Really lovely with their deep plum dresses.

Wintery posy for the flower girls using a Memory Lane rose with skimmia, paperwhites and pine.

Modern table centre in antique/vintage shades with candles surrounded by roses, skimmia, pine, mistletoe and moss. Each table centre had 9 candles of differing heights, Rhinefield must have looked amazing with all those candles lit.

A linear version makes a lovely, modern and wintery design for the top table which was dressed with 3 of these along the length.

Modern top table wedding flowers for a December wedding at Rhinefield. Either side of the top table are 2 "floral" trees. I also created a pair for the entrance to the Kings room.

My wintery floral tree - a close up. A gorgeous mix of roses, skimmia, pine and mistletoe.

Alcove flowers in the Great Hall at Rhinefield. A candle in a storm lantern with a design of pine, roses and mistletoe at the base.

Another great idea for a December wedding with a christmas theme. A Christmas tree used as a table plan. Just add some pretty fairy lights ( bride's own) and some bauble shaped cards ( supplied by the bride)

Christmas tree table plan complete with crackers at the base.

I love a winter wedding ! The day was perfect, dry and bright and I absolutely loved working on this very seasonal theme for Jen and Matt. A big thank you to them for choosing me to design and create their wedding flowers and very many congratulations on their marriage.

Lucy's Winter Wedding Flowers, Monkey Island

Lucy and Mark were looking for a strong wintery theme to their wedding flowers but avoiding the overly "Christmas" look. The bridesmaids were in midnight with cream fur shrugs and we needed to compliment those, oh and the bride loved gypsophila, was it possible to incorporate it into a winter wedding ? Here are the designs I came up with for them.

Lucy's very wintery bouquet in cream and midnight, rich cream roses and spray roses, anemones and Viburnum Tinus berries for the hint of midnight, mini pine cones, a fair amount of pine and a smattering of gypsophila because this variety, when combined with the other elements has the strong look of a smattering of snowflakes. Very wintery and very natural, we both loved it ! Perfect for this early December wedding but I have to say though, equally good for a Christmas wedding.

Groom's buttonhole of cream rose, pine and midnight viburnum tinus berries.

Page boy buttonhole, cream spray rose and pine.

Buttonholes of cream rose, pine and gypsophila. Gorgeous for a December wedding.

Bridesmaids bouquets for a winter wedding with midnight and cream colour scheme. Roses, anemones, gypsophila, viburnum tinus berries and pine for a very natural look.

Cream roses, white anemones, gypsophila, viburnum tinus berries and pine make a gorgeous bouquet for a December wedding.

Candelabra flowers for a winter wedding, cream roses, spray roses, anemones, gypsophila and mixed winter foliages including pine and ivy trails. Sat on a mirror plate with tea lights underneath and a scattering of rose petals it looked quite magical with the Christmas tree behind.

Wintery wreath of pine, roses, anemones and gypsophila around a candle within a storm lantern. This makes a gorgeous table centre for a winter wedding. Again it is sat on a mirror plate and we combined it with the candelabra designs for colour, flower and candlelight  at every level.

The lovely Monkey Island where the wedding reception was held, accessed by a footbridge over the river Thames this was a new venue for me.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Mark and Lucy for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. It was an absolute pleasure working with you on this gorgeous wintery scheme at Monkey Island. Very many congratulations on your marriage.

Lacey's Plum and Silver Winter Wedding Flowers, Rhinefield House

A sneaky peak at my next post, Lacey's beautiful plum and silver, winter themed, wedding flowers. Late November wedding at Rhinefield House.

Winter wedding bouquet in plum and silver using Memory Lane roses, plum and ivory calla lilies, pale green skimmia, paperwhites, silver skeleton leaves and a touch of blue pine. Very perfumed, very lovely, I was sorry to part with it !

Groom's buttonhole of plum and ivory calla lily with silver skeleton leaves.

Mixed vase designs for the ceremony and top table, a lovely alternative to the traditional long and low spray

Tall, wintery tablecentre of Memory Lane roses, plum anemones, paper whites and mixed vintage toned foliages. Curly twigs inside the vase add another wintery twist. Gorgeous for this November wedding. So lovely we had to make the most of them - so we first used a pair either side of the ceremony table to make a beautiful backdrop for the wedding.

Great Hall at Rhinefield set up for Lacey and Al's wedding. All these vase designs were later reused for the wedding breakfast. The tall design makes a gorgeous tablecentre that is full of impact whilst the low designs were later used as part of the top table decoration.

Wreath of roses, anemones, paperwhites, silver skeleton leaves and vintage toned wintery foliages around a candle in a storm lantern. A perfect table centre for a winter wedding. Here, we mixed tall and low table centres to give flower and colour at 2 different levels.

That just leaves me to say thank you so much Lacey and Al for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you. I absolutely loved working with you on this lovely seasonal scheme. And very many congratulations on your marriage.

First though, here are Nikki's,  gorgeous wintery designs based on a ivory and burgundy colour scheme with a little touch of midnight.

Winter bouquet of deep red and burgundy roses, midnight berries, skimmia, looped grass and a few sprays of diamante for Nikki. Very striking against her ivory dress with beaded burgundy detailing

Wintery bouquets of ivory roses, midnight berries, red skimmia, looped grass and mixed foliages for the bridesmaids.

Gorgeous co-ordinating posy for the flower girls, ivory rose, midnight berries, red skimmia and myrtle with a touch of rosemary.

Winter bouquets in ivory, midnight and burgundy for the bridesmaids and flower girls, all boxed and ready to go.

Buttonhole of red rose, burgundy spray rose, grass and midnight berries for the men.

Gorgeous little buttonhole of burgundy spray rose and myrtle for the page boy.

Submerged red roses with scattered petals and tea lights made gorgeous table centres for the reception at the Marriott Meon Valley. Sorry, I was not able to get a photo but you can see an example in the featured weddings section of my web site
