What a lovely way to end 2011, working on a fabulous New Years Eve wedding at Avington Park. This was a black tie event and our bride was looking for very traditional Christmas themed flowers with lots of roses, berries and winter foliages. And so here they are, Ned's Christmas themed wedding flowers.
Christmas themed bouquet of red roses, skimmia, spray roses and mixed foliages for our bride.
These beautiful photos are by Dave of Burlison Photography (www.burlisonphotography.co.uk ),
A huge thank you to him for sharing them with us.
The lovely bride and groom after their wedding at Avington Park
Christmas themed pedestal flowers, red roses, cream spray roses and lots of berries mixed with traditional winter foliages. This very traditional look is perfect for the stunning period interior of Avington Park and the magnificent ballroom where the ceremony took place.
Christmas themed wedding flowers, a close up of the pedestal. Another beautiful shot by Dave of Burlison Photography.
Traditional winter flowers for the fireplace at Avington Park, I used the stunning Amaryllis - a winter favourite, roses and berries combined with traditional winter foliages to create it and a roaring log fire completes the Christmas look !
Winter wedding at Avington Park.
Christmas themed candelabra flowers in reds, creams and greens. I used mixed red roses, cream spray roses and lots of pine mixed with other foliages to create this formal wintery design. Long ivy trails, tea lights and a scattering of fresh red rose petals are the perfect finishing touches.
Another beautiful image by Burlison Photography and possibly my favourite. There were so many it's hard to choose but this night time shot is gorgeous.
The Marquee set up ready for Ned and Ray's wedding reception. Half the tables were decorated with the tall candelabra and the other half were decorated with a large multi wick candle surrounded by a wedding themed wreath of roses, berries and foliage. With all the candles lit, it looked stunning.
Winter candelabra flowers, a huge ball of roses, berries and wintery foliages with long ivy trails. One of my photos, just in case there's any doubt !
Low, winter table centre of roses, berries and mixed foliages around a chunky church candle in reds and creams, just perfect for a Christmas wedding.

I had to show you this, I just loved the troop of cut out elephants marching around the flowers, these gorgeous fellows were used as place name cards with each table being named after a country in Africa.
Winter fireplace flowers at Avingtpn Park. Amaryllis, roses and berries. Actually this design was intended for the ledge of large and very tall window, this was a very temporary home.
That just leaves me to say thank you so much Ned and Ray for choosing me to design and create your wedding flowers for you, I loved working on these very Christmassy designs and it was a real pleasure working with you. Very many congratulations on your marriage.
A last and very special thank you to Dave of Burlison Photography for his beautiful photographs without which this post would not have looked as it does. Photographing flowers at night is not an easy task and these images are just stunning. Thank you Dave.
Flowers look so colorful! I am sure it must have been a joy to be surrounded by bright, happy colors :)
