Sam's Wedding Flowers, Lilacs & Purples

For her autumn wedding Sam chose a gorgeous blend of purples, lilacs and ivory. Very popular in 2010 and the colour trend is clearly going to continue into 2011. Luckily she also chose one of the most gorgeous autumn days for her wedding at Brasserie 68 in Fareham. Here are some of the photos we took of Sam's flowers.

The groom's buttonhole of rose, bouvardia and limonium. All flowers featured in Sam's wedding bouquet.

Sam's bouquet of roses, bouvardia, purple trachelium and lavender limonium.

Buttonholes of rose and limonium for the men.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of avalanche roses with lilac limonium.

Bridesmaids bouquets and buttonhole for the dad boxed and ready.

The buttonholes and mum's corsage for the groom's party, all ready and waiting

The ceremony table dresed with a long and low arrangement of ivory Avalanche roses, the gorgeous dusky lilac rose, Memory Lane, freesias and limonium with mixed foliages in vintage tones. This was moved to the top table for the wedding reception.

We dressed the tables with these designs in the popular goldfish bowl type vases. The vases are filled with fresh petals, roses and freesias with central chunky candle. The freesia is an unusual double one aptly named "Honeymoon" Memory Lane rose petals decorate the base.
Many thanks Sam for choosing us to design and create your wedding flowers for you. We hope you had a fabulous day and very many congratulations on your marriage.

Karen's wedding flowers vintage pink and green

One of the very many things I love about my job is that I get to see and work in so many lovely venues. Todays perfect autumn day saw me take a little drive through Marwell zoo. Over the railway track, a left turn at the Rhinos and I arrived at the Great Hall, the location for Karen and Gavin's vintage style wedding. Below are some of the pictures I took of their flowers.
The colour scheme Karen choose was pink and green with some ivory. Pale pink roses for the men's buttonholes and a corsage for the mums of double green lisianthus complete with a little vintage style pearl and diamante butterfly.

Karen's bouquet of pink and ivory roses with pale green carnation and double lisianthus and the ever popular mini spray rose, mini eden. Her bridesmaid carried a smaller version.

For the top table, we painted flower pots ivory and created these little vintage wedding themed designs. A scattering of fresh rose petals completes the look. Flower pots are wonderful things for vintage, natural and country style flowers and they can be painted any colour of the rainbow: Great for anyone with an "interesting " colour scheme.

I often get asked if I can do thank you bouquets, yes I can, I like to theme them to the wedding so they make gorgeous momentos of the day. I am terribly bad at remembering to photograph them though so I tried to do better this time. Aqua packed, in presentation box, finished with a tie of pale green ribbon and hidden away behind the curtain ready for the moment.

Many thanks Karen for choosing us to design and create your wedding flowers for you. We loved creating these designs for you and very many congraultions on your marriage.

Botleigh Grange Wedding Fayre

Many thanks to everyone who came to see me at the Fayre on Sunday, I hope you enjoyed the show. Here are some of the designs I created for the day.
My favourite, a blend of Akito roses, freesia and double lisianthus with little sprays of diamante to catch the light. Perfect for many of todays bridal gowns, it manages to be both timeless and modern and as an added bonus, it smells gorgeous too.

A coordinating buttonhole of lisianthus and ruscus leaves.

Flowergirls posy of double white lisianthus with leaf collar. Very lightweight so good for the little ones.

Little pots of flowers are a gorgeous alternative to a traditional tablecentre and the silver pots used here with the silver candelabra create an extremely elegant look whilst still being very of the moment. The flowers are little posies of double lisianthus, not done justice in the photo.

This design uses a chunky candle with white hydrangea, green lisianthus and myrtle. Lovely for an evening receptions or anywhere where the light is low and you want to create a cosy, intimate atmosphere.

Rich autumnal bouquet of roses, Apricot, Savita and Avalanche peach with viburnum berry and foliage surround.

Posy of Avalanche peach roses with looped grass, ivy berry, berried myrtle and ruscus.

Coordinating tall table centre with ivy trails. At the fayre we added tea lights and sprays of berries to the table at the base of the design.

A detail shot of the flowers by Kate Truepenny.

Sadly, the photo does not in any way do this bouquet justice but it is a nice idea and I thought you might like to see it. The rose is a fabulous one, very velvety and a stunning deep burgandy colour. It's called black bacarra and it has been combined with individual flowers from white nerine lily.

Wendy's Wedding Flowers, Autumn green and white

A lovely buttonhole for the groom using rose "Akito" with some green hypericum berries and sprigs of autumn berried myrtle.
.
Wendy's bouquet of Roses Avalanche and Akito, freesia, pale green double lisianthus, green hypericum and the delicate berried myrtle.

Boxed and ready to go

For her reception Wendy had the tables arranged in an open square so we created coordinating designs in cylinder vases of differing sizes to alternate down the lengths. Each length had one medium vase and two mini designs. This is one of the mini designs tied and bound with a fresh leaf.

The medium vases, all boxed and ready to go to the Montague Arms in Bealieu.

Thank you Wendy for choosing us to design and create these lovely autumn flowers for your wedding and very many congratulations on your marraige.

Georgia's Wedding Flowers,Hayfever free

For Georgia's wedding, we were asked to recommend flowers that could be carried by a bride that suffers from hayfever -very badly. Georgia loves flowers and loved the natural, almost country look and having chosen bridesmaids' dresses in purple was keen on an ivory and lilac colour scheme. To get the look and to keep Georgia looking and feeling her best for her wedding, we recommended hydrangea, which being sterile is safe for hayfever sufferers, orchids, which being completely pollen free are also safe and a few roses. Commercially grown roses should be absolutely fine but not to take any chances we kept their use in Georgia's bouquet to a minimum. Here are the results.
The groom's buttonhole, a gorgeous lightly scented lilac rose called Pacific Blue with singapore orchids.

Buttonholes of rose with ruscus leaves for the remaining men.

The mums wore corsages of singapore orchids with grasses and ruscus leaves.

The bridesmaids' bouquets of hydrangea with loops of variegated ivy and sprays of delicate iridescent beads, boxed and ready to go.

Georgia's wedding bouquet, detail shot. White hydrangeas hand tied with a few lilac roses, trails of jasmine and individual singapore orchids woven in.

Georgia's trailing bouquet.
Thank you Georgia for asking us to design and create your wedding flowers for you, we hope you enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed creating them for you.

Jemma's Wedding Flowers, Contemporary Calla Lilies

Contemporary buttonholes of calla lily and grass for the men.

For the flowergirl we created this lovely little design of single calla lily with grass and sparkling clear crystal.

For Jemma's bridesmaid a modern, coordinating design of hand tied calla lilies with lengths of grass threaded with clear crystal.

Jemma's wedding bouquet, a stunning contemporary design of hand tied ivory calla lilies with silver wire and clear swarovski crystals over. The stems were kept long for a very elegant and very flattering look and the ribbon was decorated with silver wire and clear crystals.

Thank you Jemma for chosing us to design and create your wedding flowers for you and very many congratulations on your marriage to Pete.
